These requirements are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom, the UK's radio regulator.

News Bulletin Schedule including which bulletins provide local news and which provide only UK-wide bulletins: Ten-17 FM broadcasts news bulletins on the half-hour between 0600 and 0900 and hourly from 0900 and 1900 on weekdays. These bulletins contain a mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news. At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on Ten-17 FM between 0700 and 1300. Additionally, national bulletins are broadcast from 2200 through until 0500 seven days a week.

The average number of hours of automated programming within weekday daytimes and within daytimes on Saturdays and Sundays: There is usually no automation during weekday or weekend daytimes.
The amount of local programming per day produced by the station: Ten-17 FM's weekday output from 0600hrs until 1900hrs is produced and presented from our Harlow studios.
Saturday output from 0500hrs to 1000hrs, and 1200hrs to 1900hrs is produced and presented from our Harlow studios.
Sunday output from 0600hrs to 1400hrs is produced and presented from our Harlow studios.
Networked programming (Music Control, Late Night Love, Music on Demand, Skool Daze, Saturday Night Bam Bam, hit40uk, Entertainment Edge and The Myleene Klass Show with Matt Brown) is produced at various studios, in most cases owned and operated by Ten-17 FM's parent company GCap Media plc

Events/charities support or coverage: Ten-17 FM provides free publicity on air to charitable and non-profit making local events and organisations. We give extensive coverage in the build-up to the Race For Life eventts in our area, and on the day itself.
Our Thunder promotional vehicles also attend many charity events.

Any other issues or areas of interest likely to impact on localness: Although off-peak programming is produced at various other studios, owned and operated by Ten-17 FM's parent company Gcap Media PLC, local information is provided at all times through Ten-17 FM Action inserts (except during hit40uk on Sundays 4pm-7pm). In addition, local weather is broadcast at various times during overnight programmes.
